New Upgrade = Better Security

Well, it's been a very hectic week, to say the least... We have been working to mitigate the security threats attacking the website, and we are happy to announce the vbulletin upgrade is complete. We are now running vBulletin version 4.1.1, which should prevent the recent attacks from continuing. We have also completed several security scans of the new version, and everything is coming back cleanly.

As a precaution, we recommend any users who were notified with a security warning message, please run a Malware and Anti-Virus scan for your protection. We also know the security attacks targeted installations of Adobe Flash Player, so you may wish to completely remove this application and reinstall it.

We have noticed some problems with the website over the past two days. Our web host has acknowledged the server is undergoing a DDoS attack, and performance has been degraded due to the attack. The support team is working to resolve the problem, and full service should be restored within a day or two. Unfortunately, there is nothing the FrostReaver Administrators can do to help the situation.

We thank you for your patience during this inconvenient time.

P.S. ~ If you have any information as to the cause of the DDoS attack, please report it, so we can hack the hell out of their network too. Thanks!
