Armies don't have to be painted. Models must be completely assembled and WYSIWYG will be enforced.

In the case of ties, the army that is more painted than the other wins.

I am proposing the idea of a 40k ladder system by which all of us could keep track of where we stand against our fellow club members, which is nice for those that can't attend tournaments and want competitive play. The hope is to expand the ladder to people who don't normally game with us. Perhaps we could even swing for an end of year invitational tournament for the top 10 or so to determine a 40k ladder champ. At the very least we could have a trophy.

The proposed rules are pretty simple:


1. Challenge someone else on the ladder to a game of Warhammer 40k. You may challenge anyone 2 places above you, and you can be challenged by anyone 2 places below.
2. The player you challenged MUST answer within 1 week, or they forfeit their position to you. Challenges should be made publicly for ease of tracking.
3. There is no set game for you to play. As long as you can agree, it is up to your opponent and you to agree on what points and scenario to use before the battle.
4. Play the game.
5. Make sure to post results on the web (pictures would rock).
6. If you beat the person you challenged, you move into their place, and they fall down into your rank. In the evcnt of a draw neither player moves on the ladder.
7. $1 donation to the site makes the results oficial.

The rules may be tweaked a small bit as questions/issues arise.


Please respond to this chain to let us know who wants to be 'in'. Of course you can be added/removed later but it will allow us to establish the initial list. Everything has gone to shit, People are in these petty little arguments that are splitting the group in half.

Far be it from me to actually get answers from people, so I've decided to try and figure out what happen to out group.

So i am going to put this the only way i know how,

What the hell happened and why does it effect the group so much? Is whats going on, effecting who shows up to tournaments? and who goes to free night plays? If i put you guys in the same room for any length of time will you fight to the death? Or is it stupid childish bullshit that we all out grew at least 5 years ago?

No one has named names, for one reason or another, but is the petty little bullshit really stopping people from playing? We all have issues with another gamer, be it how they play, how they act when they play. But is it really that hard to get along and either except them as they are or just not play them?

A Game that uses little plastic men that fight wars as actually started a real conflict? Is that a fair thing to say? Or do you guys have any clue what i am talking about? Have you people tried talking?

So for the last year, there hasn't been much progress in Lawrence with gaming, There are some things going on, but there isn't a single huge tournament, and most people are playing at home besides the once a week free night. Which of course i Thank Mike at home town games for having, but it Isn't what it could be.

So i am bringing back up the frag Lawrence idea, Who wants to help take charge of this? And get more games going in the Lawrence area, Right now, We have the player base to start having massive tournaments and great days of game play, But there isn't any one to lead us into this new age of gaming.

Around Lawrence we have with in a short driving distance 2 cities that we can draw players from, Topeka and Manhattan.

The point to all of this is, Right now we have a small group of three people trying to do what they can to get things going. But we need more help. With frag national backing us this is the time when we can step up and get things going.

So is there any one out there that wants to help with this? Right now its me charging in head strong with help from others, But its not enough help. We need to get more people ready and able to get bigger tournaments. We need at least three people who are willing to help.

Because of the loose structure and longer distances, I am hoping that people from Topeka and Manhattan Will step up and help if they are able to. The same goes for the people in lawrence.

We have all driven to KC, KS and KC, MO to be apart of one of their tournaments, Because lets face it, They do things on a different scale then we can. The small 10 person tournaments are ok, But lets face it, A massive 40 person tournament every couple of months would bring in more prize support, New opponents, And more fun.

With the biggest tournament we have had in lawrence in at least three years coming up this week end, Its the best time to be thinking about the future and getting people to help with this.

What i am looking for, Is actually quite simple, and for this first tournament we have everything covered, but in order to keep everything going we need people to help in the future. This is what i need,

1) A vice president, Some one to help get things ready to go. Another pair of eyes when it comes to helping with the tournaments and gaming.

2) A Treasure, To take the entry fees into the different events and to make pay outs for winners. With other tasks that deal with money and transactions.

3) 1-2 people, Either rotating or not, To help deal with Selling drinks and snacks, Food items. Because of not having large tournaments in a store we have to provide drinks and the such. I need some one to will be willing to sell them. Either a gamer or the wife of a gamer, girl friend. Just some help doing this.

4) Judges, I need 3-4 people who can take on the task of judging. I say 3-4, because we need people who will be willing to rotate, If we only have 2 judges and we need 2 judges, people wouldn't get to play. If we had more people willing to judge, we could rotate and allow for people to play and so on.

Of course none of these pay anything, Sorry, I need people who are willing to step up and help make the gaming community larger and a better place to play. I am not just talking about winning the game but the fun of playing the game. Grey knights are the most over powered cheesy army that is playable as of now. So i bring to every one the idea that the TO can choose when they put the tournament up, using frag rules the option of banning grey knights from the tournament.

So any F.R.A.G tournament the TO can choose to not allow grey knights to enter. Of course plenty of time before the tournament so that every one knows they aren't allowed. Thoughts and feelings on this? Ideas on frag tournaments, the impact this will have and so on.

No other army has been hated by this many people. It seems to me that its hard to have a fun game playing against them. So taking them out will allow funner games and more people coming because they know grey knights won't be there.

This of course will be up to the F.R.A.G admins to decide, but i figure if people get behind this movement we can make a change. My Step-Dad bought my mom a computerized embroidery machine for Mother's Day, and while I was down there this weekend she and I worked through making a custom dice bag for my new custom DA dice when they arrive.

The bag is ~8" tall and ~3.5" deep with a double drawstring. The outer material is off-white Denim with an inner red liner. Red Drawstrings on each side close the bag up quite well.

Wanted to share. Even has a tag on the inside that says: "Specially Hand Made by Mommy" - It's all kinds of awesome!
