Played Mark's bugs at 1500pts, tonight. Big bug would come out, set up a big power, and Mark’s dice would say “not tonight”. Or mine would say it to him. Got kind of scared for a few minutes when this nasty “Doom of Malachi” popped out next to three units of 30 boys each. Thought it was going to get real messy, but I never rolled above my leadership on 3d6, for two turns, so Doom went nowhere, and did nothing, go orks! All in all, it was a fun game, big win for the green horde with a board wipe on the top of turn five.

Played Sean’s Khorn CMs last night, OMG was it bloody, boardwiped him on the bottom of turn four, exept for an untouched rhino in a kill points game. I took out almost 80 of his marines, at the cost of 147 of my 187 orks. Is that messed up or what? On the bottom of the first round Old Zog popped the rhino with Kharne, then poured fire in from 3 squads of 30 shoota boys and 3 rokkits each squad, finally got through all of his saves and wiped out Kharne. I REALLY did not want to fight him. The stormboys were fun too, made quite a speed bump for him. Messy. Bloody. Khorn was pleased I’m sure.

Played K'lar's CM tonight, saw some intersting stuff, a rhino that could go through any terrain without ever getting stuck, a defiler that couldnt miss with its damned cannon. On the other hand, we only went three full turns, and I was going to close with two squads on it, I'm sure the orks would have been dying in ernest at that point. Funny point came when he broke the stormboys, all that was left was the nob, and it had a wound, it broke, and landed in terrain and mishaped and died. Three full turns of life for the storm boys, never had them last that long. I won, 5 kill points to 2 after three turns, fun fight, the orks were very orky tonight.

Played Mike tonight with a bunch of orks subbing in for Grey Knights (I've been wanting to try them) at 1750 points. Very interesting fights, my first time with marines. only went 2.5 turns and it was still pretty close against his world eaters. I brought a troop heavy list while he was elite and tracked. Was great fun actually, and a learning experience for me... hey, check your range, make sure you can see me (he could, ever time) was still fun. Nothing was really spectacular or stands out, just a slug/shooting fest. I still love the fluff for the Grey Knights, makes playing them worth it.

P.S. lascannons suck.

Played Joel's BA with the orks as DH again, and wow, what a loss, boardwiped me in four turns. I managed to take out two of his troop units, but still lost by over 1200 points in a 2000 point game. Im going to have to retire them Inquisitor elite and the vindicare, just not worth the points, that and try to find soem kind of longer range firepower, something to plink at landraiders with. Well, that and WTF was up with my dice, I couldnt pass a saving through to save my life... damnit. Did learn some more about DH though, I'll work it out and cross my fingers for good codex. That or stop fighting other marines with them, mabey find a pickup game agaist daemons

Played DJ's Tau last night over at hometown, and wow!, he unleased a metric ass ton of whoopass firepower on the horde (167 models at 1750 points). All said and done, I only managed to kill a couple squads of scout, a devil fish, and a speed bump unit of stealth suits. I conceded the game at the top of turn four, he was on the way to a board wipe that turn, and the only thing I would have had left was Snikrot to try and make a reserve roll and maybe kill one unit. Horrible, horrible loss for the green horde. I really need to work on mixing squads to get some more cover saves from all that firepower.

Played K'lar's CM last night over at Wolf's house. I feel much better about myself with a victory after the butt raping from DJ last week. K had a 150 point advantage and I managed to wipe him in the top of turn six (yay, popped two landraiders). Tough game though, he wiped out a lot of the horde in the process, but that is what they are for

Played Joel's BA list at 2250 points, walked on the board with 217 models, 6-30boy troops, 20 storm boyz and 15 komandos with snikrot, warphead and Old Zog. By the bottom of turn six he had broke every single unit, I never lost a single multi-point model to wounds, seven nobs with claws, snikrot, a warphead and Old Zog; all dead to being caught when they broke. Sigh... It was a sad day for the green horde. Of course, the BA paid a high price, mephy and a bunch of other marines ended up as scattered body parts on the battlefield. Really though, it was those effing priests that gave everyone nearby feel no pain. The orks need vindicare snipers. I was going to try and turn Mephy into a squig, but Old Zog was lost before turn 2 where he could try. The shooty orks did a good job though, I probably killed more marines by shooting them than by trying to bash thier head with green meaty goodness. So, lessons learned; work on getting more charges with the boyz, hard while fighting a all jump list. OK, as it stands, the BA and Tau have caused this horde list the most trouble, I need to work on that.
