eldar (again), die wraithlord die. Ok, please? Pretty please? Ok, pretty please with sugar on top?
CM(plagued), ahhh, the magical green cube of loaner dice, couldn’t fail a leadership, finally stopped bouncing off their armor saves (orks need melta bombs
Marines (BT, SW) (with IG on my side) scout moved deffkoptas with buzz saws, and popped a rhino and a vindicator before he could even move (didn’t bother scraping the paint off the landraider), they promptly died gloriously. The guys without armor discovered it’s no fun to assault cybork nobs and a warboss. The SW terminators on the other hand, not so much. 12 rokkit attacks (over several rounds) suppressed Bjorn in his walker, the warphead did nothing (kept scattering), and two powerclaws brought it down with some lucky dice. Wiped the marines in turn six. (as a side note, basically one BT emperor’s champ kept an entire mob of kommandos with Snikrot tied up for 5 frakking turns, would you PLEASE have the grace to DIE!)
CM(khorn) always remeber to assault the empty rhino on the objectivce, dont shoot it off durring the last turn.
IG even nobs go away under enough bullets, on the other hand, a cybork warboss in a group of IG can be quite sticky for them. What reall sucks is when all your troop choices have been killed, all you can do is contest the objectives and go for the tie.

everybudy in da truks, lets go get us some elves... kaboom... ok, everybuddy run, lets go get us some elves... ok, lets go get these elves over 'ere, no lets go over 'ere... what, its turn four, oh hey we'r troop nobs, lets not kill anyting today, we will just run over 'ere and kapture an objective, not make too easy for elves.
the other squad of nobs did pretty good, nice and hard and sticky, NO, WE ARE NOT GOING TO LEAVE THIS OBJECTIVE ON DEFENDED HAR HAR HAR.
lots of 'ardboys corpes, lots of leadership passed.
of course, lots of eldar corpses too, orks like that.
first time I fought them to a draw.
personal observation: Eldar bikers sting a little.
Played with the space puppies last night. Started pretty good, he popped my trucks on the bottom of the first round, and they careened into his lines and wrecked, ok, fine, now my nobs are in your long fang lines. That’s all well and good until Ulric the slayer shows up, I must say, he is very good at killing nobs. The look on wolf’s face when Old Zogwart teleported a 30 ‘ard boy squad into his lines was precious. Of course the wolf guard leader of his pack made short work of Old Zog. Would have been better if Snikrot had shown up before turn five, could have really used his help thinning out the wolves that kept popping up every time I popped a rhino. Good game though, lost 9 to 7 in annihilation.
Played the puppies again, 2500 points this time with two base/objectives, lots of driving around in my trukks, bikes and deffkoptas, lots of ‘ardboyz getting shot up, and a 115 point deff dread that did nothing. Second turn was much of the same, driving around, ‘ardboyz dying, buzzsaw deffkoptas scraping paint off rhinos. Snikrot did manage to make it in though, and he wiped a squad of long fangs that had been harassing me with long range lazcannons, I really don’t like those. Turn three saw the nobs getting into play though, then the dying started in earnest, warboss and nobs squad jumped out of one truck and assaulted a dreadnaught, wham, dead warboss, all he got to do was jump out of a truck and look pretty as he died. Another nob squad jumped out of a truck did some damage, and died with a whimper. The biker nobs with powerclaws though, everything they hit went away, rhinos, grey hunters, land raiders… (the land raider he tried to park on my objective in turn six). I did manage to park a trukk and a couple of koptas on his base to contest his base, and he only had a couple guns left there to try and shoot them off, no turn seven so I had my base clean and his contested, he still had more points of guns and armor on the table though, glad there was no turn seven or eight.
Played Khorne last night. Lots of dying, on both our parts, I’m sure Khorne was quite pleased. Scout moved the koptas and popped a rhino and both Predators, I HATE lazcannos. They promptly began to scrape paint after that. My nobs did a good job until Kharne showed up and promply killed a nob biker squad (they did make a good showing, Kharn’s unit was dead except for Kharn and a powerfist. Old Zog made a good showing too. Lots of Chaos all lined up and ready to march, Oh, Hey, BTW, Zog and a 30 ‘ard boy squad just teleported into your backline. First time EVER I’ve had both trukks survive the entire game. Had to call the game at the end of turn 4 for time reasons. And a good time was had by all.
Played black templars last night with a big win, lot of blown armor, lots of dead humies, lots of dead nobs too, troops just stood back on objectives and did some long range work (yes, orks, shooting long range, ha ha) and lets the nobs assault, got luck and killed the champion in the first round of combat with a couple powerclaws. Lost an entire squad of nobs to a unit of terminators with lightning claws though. That damned landraider though, 4 rounds of shooting 6 rokkits at it, and three of those twinlinked, all i did was slow it down a bit and scorch some paint *sigh*. Did get a laugh durring the last round, he tankshocked me so I tried a death or glory and rolled a one, one flat nob. At the end, I held three objectives, and contested the other two, had a great game, lots of dice rolls went my way.
fri night played space puppies, in the immortal words of metallica "bullets are flying and people are dying", had a squad of 'ard boys shot out of cover... 30 ard boys.. shot out of cover. Nobz did a good job though, managed to eke out a victory. Was a really fun game.

Saturday’s tourney, wow my feet hurt after that, was glad to get home, ate a sandwich and went to bed. Played vanilla marines in the first round, a lot of death on both parts, managed to tie the game, but was a moral loss for the orks. Played hard orks in the second round, only had three turns so only one objective was on the board, put the petal to the floor with the trukks, and had them smacked out from under me, then had all my mobs tied up in assault, smashed my way through one of the tar pits of nobz only to get caught up in another, they never made it more than about a foot out of the trukks. Game ended on a draw at the end of turn three, but I had a lot more troops left and an elite, and still had a reserve komando/Snikrot (who died there) so moral went to me. Played some more vanilla marines on the third game, felt like I was playing Tom's marines again, had to face a LOT of lazcannons... I hate lazcannons... zap, dead nob, zap, dead nob... and then he rolls out a Librarian with void field, zap, invuln save, what?, ok, I'll roll it again, dead nob, damn. Did run a squad of nobz out and smashed two dreadnaughts that was helpful, ran another squad of nobz through two units of bikers, left one bike running away and later shot him out with rokkits. Snikrot took out one unit of long range marine in some ruins, and was tied up by the second, but that’s ok, didn’t have to face so many lazcannons. Anyway, game ended on turn four, with two units of boyz on the only objective, uncontested, and three of three of the four table quarters under my control for a massacre of the marines. When the points were totaled I managed fourth place. I had a tie with the guy in third, but I had played him in the first round and he had 2 bonus points to my 1. Had a good time at the tourney and learned a lot from the other players, so, thanks to all who had a hand in putting the tourney on and thanks to all who I played (Brett, Candice, and Phil), I learned a lot playing with each of you.

Yes, the game vs the orks was the match I enjoyed the most. It was just a raw slug fest. I figured out just how tough orcs are in 40k. I didnt expect them to be as tough as plague marines with the fighting power of berzerkers. You would of beat me had my marines not opened up with everything in the last turn to kill those 2 troop units. I look forward to a rematch in the future and perhaps we can settle that tie.

Came in late to last night's free play so hooked up with some team action, another ork player and myself vs. blood angles and grey knights (grey knights on bikes, the emperor's skid marks, love it). "chop chop chop, I'm an agent of destruction, chop chop chop, a regular killing machine, chop chop chop, it's a symbiotic function, chop chop chop I keep the city so clean [/Alice Cooper]) Drove the truck of nobz up to the BAs and kareened into walking unit, then proceeded to absorb some firepower, a furioso dreadnaught and a squad of marines, took a few turns but with the help of a teleporting squad of boyz and Old Zog, I smashed my way out of it with four nobz left, by then the other ork had wiped out most of the grey knights so I teleported again over to him and ended up about 0.25" too close so he hazarded me into terrain, no problem, made all my saves but was out of the fight while the other ork finished off the grey knights, board wipe in turn six. Lesson learned, I really don’t like dreadnaughts.
